Perfume on Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ (2008-02-25)
Perfume and Downtown!
A~chan does most of the talking in the interview. No surprise here. It is a good thing that she does most of the talking. A~chan is the most engaging member in interviews. There was a time where A~chan and Ai Takahashi used to look alike. That resemblance has faded away in the past year, but I bring it up from time to time. There was one major difference between the two, and I see it every time Perfume is in an interview. Personality. Takahashi would go on shows like Utaban and talk about her penny collections. How boring. Every time I see Perfume on a show like Heyx3, A~chan is dominating the interview and the hosts and crowd are interested in what she is saying. If Perfume were to break up tomorrow (purely hypothetical), I could see A~chan making a living on variety shows.
She uses a lot different voices, I guess as impressions.
I can’t pick up most of what they talk about. They discuss masks for a bit.
She says something about Matsumoto, and he screams at her. Matsumoto and A~chan, what a tandem.
They say they respect Porno Graffiti (I think).
They say they respect NEWS (I think).
The NEWS stuff leads to a joke on Nocchi, to which she has a face of utter shock.
Sucks to be the other group there that they ignored.
A performance of Baby Cruising Love follows.
Kashi’s new haircut is fantastic.
I love Nocchi in performances.
And A~chan.
I don’t really have a favorite from Perfume and that hasn’t changed from this appearance. A~chan is probably the most talented of the three, but I don’t mean that as slight against Kashiyuka or Nocchi. Kashiyuka remains cute with everything she does, although she is significantly hotter with her new haircut. Nocchi has that Erika Miyoshi solid performer vibe about her. And even though she is not as engaging as A~chan, Nocchi is very entertaining in variety segments.

About porno graffiti and NEWS
In fact, Perfume say that there are 2 of their school sempais on this stage. They talk about the guy from Porno Graffiti (I don’t remember his name, gomen >__<) and they Kashiyuka says that during high school, Tegoshi was their (or her ? I don’t remember) sempai too.
Then everyone is like : ehh??
And Tegoshi talk a little about them, saying that one day, during the school festival, he saw Perfume performing and he was like : woah… They’re cool. He was watching them at the top of the school, something like this, from a classroom.
Then, Matsumoto jokes telling everyone that in fact, Tegoshi wrote Bambina’s lyrics (that are known to be very very hot XD and about what everyone joked about a moment before) thinking about Perfume. That’s why Tegoshi burst into laughing and turned all red… So cute XDD

[...] should have seen it coming. Last February, Perfume was on Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ, which I wrote a post about. Perfume was very friendly with Porno Graffiti, who were also guests on the episode. A [...]
