Activity: Masae Ohtani. Unlike the annual Natsumi Abe scandal, the Miki Fujimoto one was not funny. Masae and Melon Kinenbi didn’t get to do much, but they did good when they did.

Looks: Miki Fujimoto. Miki still looks great.

Charisma: Masae Ohtani. The covers and PV for Onegai Miwaku no Target gave me so much more joy than Mikitty screwing her boyfriend.

WINNER - Masae Ohtani 2-1. What an upset! Let’s be clear here, I like Miki a lot more than Masae. However, it is because I like Miki that the last year has been such a disappointment. Hopefully, she will have a better showing next year.

Activity: Ai Takahashi. Morning Musume had so much more going this year than Melon Kinenbi, and I begrudgingly admit Ai has a lot to do with that.

Looks: Ayumi Shibata. Just because there is a lack of images of Ayumi compared to Ai doesn’t mean a damn thing.

Charisma: Ayumi Shibata. This won’t be the first time on TLS that I’ve expressed how much Ai’s personality (or lack thereof) doesn’t interest me. Meanwhile, I love watching Ayumi

WINNER - Ayumi Shibata 2-1. She did it! She pulled off the upset! So Round 2 will be Masae Ohtani vs Ayumi Shibata. All 5 of the MKB fans can now rejoice. I’d say Ayumi is a strong favorite.
