Activity: Sayumi Michishige. Sayumi had a strong first half but has slowed down in recent Musume times. Even in a lesser role she gets more, and better, promotion than Hitomi.

Looks: Sayumi Michishige. This says nothing at all about Hitomi.

Charisma: Sayumi Michishige. Again, I don’t have anything bad to say about Hitomi.

WINNER - Sayumi Michishige 3-0. Sayumi has not had a fantastic year, but she is too interesting to not make it to Round 2.

Activity: Aya Matsuura. After a relatively interesting solo concert, Aya had a lot more quality.

Looks: Aya Matsuura. I think that Maasa is beautiful. However, Aya has more appeal.

Charisma: Maasa Sudou. This is quite the surprise. While Maasa barely ever gets the spotlight, she finds a way to grab my attention. I have higher expectations for Aya and usually end up disappointed.

WINNER - Aya Matsuura 2-1. Maasa had a late charge but it wasn’t enough. Aya will go against Sayumi and I’d imagine Sayumi to be the favorite.
