Was Haromoni Worth Watching? April 27, 2008
Today the TLS Time Travel Committee has decided that I, once again, have to travel back in Haromoni time and suffer through another episode. Let’s look at April 27’s episode.

Maybe I won’t suffer! It’s Milky Way.

So Milky Way perform Anata Boshi.

As you’d expect with a Haromoni performance, it’s the same old crap. At least we have new faces this time.

Ninjas? Oh whatever.

I’m tired of these skits. I am. However, the message I’m being told: “Oh well, they MUST continue.”

Aika dressed up like maid? For any reason? No? Who cares?
Oh look, she is with a Muppet. Did you know that Big Bird is Asian? Also, Elmo is black and Bert & Ernie are gay Puerto Ricans. Sesame Street promotes racial harmony through puppets being different colors and accepting of each other. Haromoni promotes driving viewers to alcoholism.

It is these tiny little facial expressions that make Aika Mitsui my favorite Momusu. In this skit, she rolls up some food to make some words. Something like that, who really cares? All the other members have to guess what it is. Here Aika pretends like she cares about what the others are guessing. She doesn’t. Who possibly could? Yet a rolling of the eyes and a shaking of the head made it all worth it for me.

Of course, in utterly cruel fashion, we see Reina Tanaka in the very next frame. Reina is the polar opposite of Aika. I like Aika for the subtleties. Reina is all about overacting. She is the loudest and most obnoxious idol.
No wonder Americans love her.

Then, a lot of time was wasted.

After that, more time was wasted.

It is Koha’s turn to memorize stuff. This has been going on for far too long.

After 15 takes, she gets them all right.

And smacks the stupid doll up for good measure.

And so, another Haromoni epsiode ends, with not much hope for the future.
