Went to the Medicine Wheel event, wrote down a story and a prayer. It actually got a bit emotional lol

Namie Amuro - Sexy Girl

I am not really thrilled with this Sexy Girl. 60s70s80s was so good that perhaps that only direction Namie could go was down. Namie has better songs than this, that’s all I can really say about it.

As for the PV…In screencap #11, she looks like a crack whore. Awesome! She wears a haircut that I dislike oh so much. Terrible! For the most part, it is a lot of Namie being sexy. Maybe the PV isn’t so bad after all.

It’s A Sick, Disgusting Job

But it’s gotta get done!

It’s spring summer who cares cleaning time here at the TLS Headquarters. I have so much stuff that needs to be thrown out. I have to evaluate each piece of paper and every single knick-knack that comes my way before I dispose of it. I am doing a better job today, cutting loose things that are simply unnecessary. It’s been an adventure as I have already jammed, and unjammed, a paper shredder. And of course, I vacuumed up the paper clip that I used to unjam the paper shredder.

What does this have to do with Japanese music?

I have to stay motivated to clean! Otherwise, I’ll slack off and spend the day reminiscing, reading lousy undergrad papers and old birthday cards. I need so music that isn’t boring (Aya Matsuura ballads need not apply) to keep me awake. So here’s my playlist for the job:

the brilliant green

  • Bye Bye Mr.Mug
  • Ai no Ai no Hoshi
  • Stand by me
  • Tsumetai Hana
  • You and I
  • Mister Moon
  • Falling Star In Your Eyes
  • That Boy Waits For me
  • Kuroi Tsubasa
  • Day After Day
  • Sono Speed de
  • Rainy Days Never Stay

Do As Infinity

  • Another
  • Kuusou Ryodan
  • Good For You
  • Wadachi
  • Kagaku no Yoru
  • Oasis
  • Tangerine Dream
  • Tooku Made

GOING UNDER GROUND

  • Train
  • Twister
  • Sentiment Express
  • MIRAGE
  • RUMBLE

BoA

  • Shine We Are!
  • DO THE MOTION
  • Sparkling

Namie Amuro

  • WoWa
  • GIRL TALK
  • NEW LOOK
  • ROCK STEADY
  • WHAT A FEELING
  • Never Shoulda

I’m also listening to Arcade Fire, not that it really applies to anything else here.

The Many, Many Faces of Namie

Activity has slowed down here at TLS this week. Truth be told, my attention has gone to International Wota as of late. I become a contributor to the site this week. I’ve had a lot of fun reading all different types of blogs that I normally wouldn’t look it. To think, I found something enjoying in a Johnny’s blog. When I started TLS a few months ago, that was not an outcome that I was expecting. Anyways, I definitely have a deeper appreciation for what Ray, wu-san, CJ, pengie and all the others do to keep the site updated. And of course, a deeper appreciation for all the other bloggers, because Intlwota wouldn’t be much of anything without blogs to cover.

I remember wu-san saying something along the lines, and I’m paraphrasing here, “most of my energy goes into Intlwota entries.” You ain’t kidding.

I’ve been completely enthralled with the three videos for Namie Amuro’s single 60s 70s 80s. I can’t believe how attracted I am to this woman 9 years older than me. The rankings for it right now go 60s (New Look) > 80s (What A Feeling) > 70s (Rock Steady). Sampling Baby Love and Flashdance (What A Feeling) works right up my alley, as I love those songs to no ends. If only the 70s was Don’t Leave Me This Way by Thelma Houston, I’d have been ending this blog because true life would no longer have to be sought. I’m still having more and more fun listening and watching these songs, so drawing out a written opinion hasn’t happened yet. And it won’t happen in this entry. Time for a gigantic picspam. 105 images to be precise.
