I’m writing this entry because I am having problems with blogging. I tried to inspire myself to blog, and it didn’t work. I tried to get some other bloggers to inspire me to blog, and it didn’t work. I tried to get a solo Kanna Arihara DVD to inspire me to blog. Well, I liked that, but it didn’t get me blogging.

I’m going to go over a few points initially, but the purpose of this entry is the survey at the end of it. I would like to get answers from all different bloggers and perspectives, even from people that dislike this blog. I care what other people have to say because, as I loosely connect before the survey, blogging and community go hand-in-hand. I didn’t write out a reasonably argued thesis on the subject, but I believe it to be true.

I purposefully used an awful image of her. It didn’t take much searching. Ok, that was the last Mika Mutou joke, I swear.

I never thought I’d be writing this. I never thought I’d care that about Mika Mutou graduating. I never thought that I’d be upset that Mika Mutou was leaving. But, here we are.

some boys! blog has the report that Mika Mutou is graduating from Ongaku Gakas and Hello!Project.

And I am actually wish that Mika Mutou, OF ALL PEOPLE, would be staying.

Regular scheduled programming has slowed on TLS. I’ve been trying to gather my thoughts on Aibon coming back. It’s been difficult putting together the right style for this entry. So instead of pushing myself any further, here is all I could come up with.

There are some days where I question how much of a fan I truly am of idols. Today is one of those days. It has been roughly one year since the Hello!Project, and thus, idol career of Ai Kago came to an end. It was a bitter end - at the time there was hope and promise for a revitalization of her career that had been previously suspended for a year. However, Ai did not want to play the by the frivolous and petty rules rules of being an idol.

And this makes me not want to play by the rules of idol worship.

So there are some days that I look at Kanna Arihara, and others, and think:

“We can’t go on together, with suspicious minds.”

Anime Boston was in town. I’m not into anime like when I was kid/teenager so I had no reason to go. The only reason was the chance of seeing the pillows play live. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stand in the long lines that AB had to deal with this year (sorry to all you who were stuck in it). But I was able to find my way into Anime Boston regardless. I eventually got to where the pillows were playing. I heard them play Funny Bunny and Advice as they finished up.

Yes, I heard the pillows live.

That’s David Banner.

Yesterday, there was a gamma ray burst that may have been visible to the naked eye. Gamma ray bursts can be very scary things. The amount of energy that they realize is something that just cannot simply be imagined. However, they are weird phenomena. I would expect a star blowing up to release energy in all directions, but this doesn’t happen.

For those more interested in this gamma ray burst, here is an article (with a photo of the light). Even though the light is just reaching us now, the star that exploded was 7.5 billion light years away. That means 3 billion years before our solar system was in its current form, this star blew up. And it is just now reaching us. That is crazy!! I would also imagine that there were no objects in space that was in the line of path of the light for us to see it. No asteroids, comets, planets, space junk, American flags or babies for this light to deflect off of. I can only imagine the odds of us seeing this light were pretty low.

I would have been satisfied just seeing this event without capturing it. Because only by witnessing some sort of a gamma explosion could I have transformed into The Hulk.

Which begs the question, what H!P member would make the most convincing Hulk? Well it’s not going to be Edward Norton.

In my entry about Erina Mano going solo, I mentioned that I had an H!P Eggs concert in the TLS Vault that I will have to watch to see more about Manoeri’s abilities. Add Yuu Kikkawa and Sayaka Kitahara to the list. They are going to team with Koharu Kusumi to form the unit Milky Way. For me, this will be new territory with a new unit as I will have no preconceived notions about Yuu and Sayaka, besides Yuu’s eyes looking like Megumi Murakami’s. As for Koharu, I still think she is lying about her age, although it’s somewhat odd for a girl to claim she is younger than she actually is.

I do have some preconceived notions about Milky Way beyond the two H!P Eggs themselves!

Years from now, we may be talking about how brilliant Hello!Project was to turn Erina Mano into a soloist. It could be the decision that turned things around for the company.

As for today, on March 2, 2008 - it doesn’t look like the right thing to do.

And I really like Erina Mano, and not just for her looks.

Tonight, I decided it was time to play the Oregon Trail again. So I loaded up my original CD (oh yeah), got a DOS emulator and had some fun.

Except my idea of fun with the Oregon Trail isn’t winning the game with my friends.

It’s more along the lines of:

While it may be Family Day in some Canadian provinces, it is Presidents Day in America. There is no actual federal holiday called Presidents Day, the federal holiday is technically Washington’s Birthday. But George was born on February 22 and today is February 18. Oh well.

Our northern brothers may choice to honor and respect the family, but we like to praise some of the great presidents in our past. Men like Warren Harding, one of the most corrupt presidents ever, who would often get drunk in office, and this was during the Prohibition Years. What about the whole wave of presidents from 1841-1861 that sat on their hands while the country degraded into civil war? My favorite of that period was William Henry Harrison. He died in office and even had a curse placed on him by a Native American. The curse was that every president who was elected in a year ending with 0 (Harrison was elected in 1940) would die in office. It came true for Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, Harding, Roosevelt and Kennedy! Regan and Bush avoided it. Another great man was Andrew Johnson, who set back the country decades because of his personal grudge against Reconstruction. Then there is the current man in office.

But I don’t want to preach an American history lesson to you. I got better plans. We are supposedly suppose to be taking time today to honor our forefathers. Obviously many of these man deserve no praise whatsoever. So whose history should I honor today?
